Dwelling Place Properties, LLC was founded  in New York by Jihan Newman, who remains the firm's principal owner. The firm is a full service real estate company, which helps its clients with Property Management, Property Maintenance, Construction, Leasing & Sales Brokerage and Real Estate Acquisitions.

Jihan started her career in real estate in 1999 managing multi-family & mixed-use properties in Brooklyn, New York. That quickly sparked a love for real estate and asset management. Before long she secured a role with a large management firm as a Property Manager. Over her career she advanced in her roles while gathering all the skills, knowledge and experience to open her own firm. 

In 2008 she founded  Dwelling Place Properties, LLC.  

For many years Dwelling Place Properties, LLC serviced properties primarily in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut metropolitan areas. In recent years the portfolio has expanded to cities outside of the Tri-State area.
